Medinol’s 3D cylindrical quality control process is comprised of 4 phases.
The first phase takes place after the high-precision laser fusion once the stent has assumed its final shape. This phase includes a thorough visual inspection of each and every individual fusing point.
The two following phases includes a highly sensitive weighing process before and after the electropolishing phase. This is designed to detect any abnormal changes in the stent mass in this process
The last phase following the post-electropolishing weighing, and consists of another visual inspection of all stents.
The fact that these quality control measures do not rely on the sampling of individual stents but rather cover each individual product is a direct result of the quality and consistency standards to which we are committed.
Once the stents are inspected and validated they are mounted onto the delivery system. The balloon is folded allowing for the crimping of the stent in the right position. In the following nesting process we generate bulges in the balloon that interact with the crimped stent to retain it on the balloon and insure its grip against a risk of dislodgement of the stent from the balloon.
